Professional Information
After graduating from Red River High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota, I attended University of Nebraska-Lincoln for 4 years and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Dietetics. That lead me to West Virginia University, where I'm currently earning my masters degree in Human Nutrition & Foods and working through my dietetic internship rotations. My previous work experience includes areas of foodservice, fitness, and direct sales.
Work experience
•Completing over 1200 hours in clinical nutrition, community nutrition, foodservice management, sports nutrition, and professional development at West Virginia University's dual Master's & Dietetic Internship program. Following the completion of my rotations in May 2013, I will be elligible to sit for the national R.D. exam.
CLINICAL
• Provided 1 week of staff relief at a 424-bed hospital
• Experience in acute care, rehabilitation hospital, clinics (weight loss clinic, feeding clinic), outpatient, and group homes
• Promoted nutritional needs of patients by following nutrition care process and documenting nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation of patients with varying disease states
• Developed and implemented appropriate plans of care per company protocol
